4th Grade
Hello! I am a fourth grade teacher at Ralph Witters Elementary School. I received my (BA) teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, I earned an (AAS) degree in Horticulture Science from Hawkeye Community College. I started teaching in Thermopolis, Wyoming in 2006. My first year in Thermopolis, I taught fifth grade, and have taught fourth grade ever since. In addition to teaching, I am also the head coach of the middle school wrestling team.
Before moving to Thermopolis, I worked abroad at a private school, Cornel English School, in Taichung, Taiwan (R.O.C.). I taught grades first and sixth and tutored middle school students in English. I enjoyed the experience and culture but moved back to the states to be closer to friends and family!
I'm originally from Decorah, Iowa, a small Norwegian town in the northeast corner of the state. My hobbies include traveling, hiking, morel mushroom hunting, woodworking, grilling, fishing, art, sports, and cruising on my motorcycle!
I really enjoy Wyoming and teaching the fourth grade!
