hi all my name is Miss Bridges here with the third grade team we are creating this short video to go over Google classroom and their grade and all the other grades we use Google Classroom as a means for digital learning the kids have already used it a couple of times in their homeroom classes so in third grade they should have a pretty good idea of how it works but we also want to take you through it so that you can help your child be successful if we do have to go to digital learning so I'm going to share my screen now and it's going to look a little bit different not too much I will go over the part that will look different just due to the fact that my new is the T you and your students will be your student view the when they get onto Google Chrome the little Beach I'll look in one on their computer they will head to this waffle I call it in my classroom but it's a little circles that are making up the square click on the you are going to find classroom it is the icon with the green chalkboard and click on it so here going to look a little bit different depending on your kids class I'm it will just have a different title so if you are if your students in my class I say we go to 3rd grade Miss ridges Penningtons class grade and Mrs L their grade I want to just do it through mine so going to click on the title their greatness Bridges and take us to this streaming page year it just has a little page that goes over with all the assignments that have been posted but also if there's any announcements from your homeroom teacher it will be posted on here as well next is our class work page so if you come up here where we have all these different sections we have stream classwork people grade students on class work and the page is divided into topics so we have mass art reading music PE science social studies writing and any extra practice we still might help us do then so if your student is doing math they will come to the math section and underneath are all the assignments the assignments will have the date first and then the the title of the assignment so this one was assigned on Wednesday so they're going to click on the Wednesday and then it drops down and here we have details the assignment and then the actual assignment so they are in a click on picture of the assignments and it will bring open up the assignment for them the next important thing to do is go back to class work and this is where it's going to look a little bit different but you're going to click on view assignment and on the right side hate on your students it won't actually do it on this page it will have the option to turn in with a grey button so make sure that that is that there is an assignment that is actually turned and if not click on that button this just allows us to see that it's completed and then we can check the work and give your student your child some people time to get back to the main page you just click on the title again in the upper left-hand corner and it will bring you back to the streaming page password to do any other class work again there's a section for math art reading music PE science social skills writing and any extra practice star-specials team reposting assignments and music PE and science so that it is all in one place the next thing that I want to go over is Google meets this is kind of what we will be using and Zoom so teachers will be if they need to they will create a Google meet and on that streaming page there will be a link or so they need to click on that will bring your student directly here but for right now we really just want to work on Miss understanding this classwork page isn't going to come up an understanding where to find classwork and all the information needed also if there is a case that we do go to digital distance learning your teacher will your students teacher will send out a message via ClassDojo just giving a list of assignments that need to be completed for the day help you, stay on track and as always if you have any questions or concerns or concerns and you need to be walked through it again real free to reach out to your teachers homeroom teacher and we hope this kind of helps you understand Google I'm a little bit more
